Jean Peterson
SECRETARY & TREASURER
Jean has been a member of St. Michael’s for 20+ years and particularly likes the family feeling of the congregation. She also enjoys the view looking out the big windows at the altar, which overlook the garden.
Bible verse close to Jean’s heart: “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength, they will soar on wings of Eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not be faint.” Isaiah 40:31

Paul Gaudette
DEACON
Paul has been with St. Michael’s since 2010, and serving as a Deacon since 2018. He loves his church family, the loving and friendly environment, and the Biblical truth taught here.
Paul and his wife, Karrie, have a beautiful family that includes 5 children and 3 grandchildren.
Paul has been in the construction trades since 1988 and is the owner of his company, Traversehandyman, LLC (we make sure we put his talents to work around church). Paul is also a veteran, who served for 12 years.
Bible verses close to Paul’s heart: “In the same way, deacons are to be worthy of respect, sincere, not indulging in much wine, and not pursuing dishonest gain. They must keep hold of the deep truths of the faith with a clear conscience. They must first be tested; and then if there is nothing against them, let them serve as deacons. In the same way, the women are to be worthy of respect, not malicious talkers but temperate and trustworthy in everything. A deacon must be faithful to his wife and manage his children and his household well. Those who have served well gain an excellent standing and great assurance in their faith in Christ Jesus.” 1 Timothy 3:8-13

Karrie Gaudette
PRESIDENT OF WOMEN OF ST. MICHAEL’S
Karrie Gaudette and her husband, Paul, have a long history with LCMS churches in Traverse City, Former members of Trinity Lutheran Church, they began attending St. Michael's Lutheran when Pastor Jim Nihiser was their shepherd, as Paul made a strong connection with Pastor Jim. Together, Paul and Pastor Jim were able to start several Bible studies for men as well as a Celebrate Recovery program.
Karrie also found many ways to serve in the congregation. In addition to serving as the President of Women of St. Michael’s, Karrie currently is on the altar guild as well.
Bible verse close to Karrie’s heart: “The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to him in song.” Psalm 28:7
